Face-2-Face Singles was founded by Jane Weissman in 1997.  As a divorced professional with a teenage daughter, and full-time Realtor with Long and Foster with over 20 years of experience, Jane realized that the local singles scene did not cater to individuals who were juggling parenthood and successful careers. 

Jane sponsors seven events each year that bring hundreds of singles together in a relaxed sophisticated environment.  Held on Sunday evenings, these gatherings attract equal numbers of professional men and women who are interested in making new friends in a smoke-free environment that is also conducive to business networking as well as dancing.

Most of Face-2-Face Singles events have taken place at Tragara and Bambule restaurants in Bethesda/DC.  Attendees have tended primarily to be in the age range of 35-55.  In October, 2004, Jane took her events to Maggiano's in Friendship Heights/DC.  In February 2007, Jane took her events to the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda.

In addition to food stations between the hours of 7-9 pm, Jane provides live entertainment.  Her events typically feature musicians or disc jockeys that perform music conducive to dancing.  At past events, she has also featured computer portrait artists, card readers, caricaturists, magicians, comedians, balloonologists, Elvis impersonators, or even breakdancers.  The venues provide a cash bar and garage parking.  A photographer is present on occasion to capture images of the enjoyable evening, which Jane shares with her Face-2-Face clientele on her website.

In July, Face-2-Face Singles sponsors sunset dinner cruises on the Patapsco out of Baltimore Harbor or on the Potomac out of Old Town Alexandria.

Events typically take place every 5 to 8 weeks.  There are no membership fees.
